In questo articolo illustreremo alcuni esempi di canti di carcere riportati da Giuseppe Pitrè e Cesare Lombroso che diedero spunto a una polemica scientifica tra i due studiosi. L’analisi delle varianti che stanno alla base della disputa scientifica dei due fondatori della Demopsicologia e dell’Antropologia criminale, momento fondamentale della storia degli studi antropologici italiani dell’Ottocento, ci permetterà di comprendere come la trasmissione orale della cultura sia ancora oggi permeata dalle stesse modalità performativa che affondano le loro radici nei racconti dei miti.

En aquest article s’estudien les unitats fraseològiques en quatre obres de Toni Cucarella en relació amb l’oralitat ficcional. La tradició d’estudis sobre l’oralitat ficcional analitza els recursos que evoquen l’oralitat en textos escrits o audiovisuals. Entre aquests recursos, en els darrers anys s’ha destacat la importància de certes unitats fraseològiques que són pròpies de la llengua oral i, en aparéixer en textos escrits, evoquen la llengua oral, com un mitjà per caracteritzar de manera versemblant els personatges. In 1985, BBC Radio 2 broadcast the radio play The True Tale of Margery Kempe by contemporary writer Eva Figes (born 1932). The text is a remediation of The Book of Margery Kempe which recovers and gives new life to the tale of Margery Kempe re-instituting the memory of a long-lost manuscript and at the same time giving it back the original characteristics of orality. The narrative strategies adopted by Eva Figes in this adaptation for the radio of the medieval text are influenced by questions linked to the issue of the authorial voice. Zainteresowanie folklorystyki współczesnymi narracjami potocznymi wynika z przedefiniowania przedmiotu badań folklorystycznych. Uznanie folkloru za część kultury, która podlega takim samym przemianom jak cała kultura i jest zjawiskiem społecznie oraz historycznie zróżnicowanym, wymaga doprecyzowania podstawowych pojęć: oralności, kontekstu kulturowego, sytuacji folklorotwórczej, procesu odbioru przekazywanych treści. The article examines various resonances of the “speech technology” (Sprechkunde) current in German and Russian-Soviet context of 1900–1920s. It contains first of all a brief history of the techniques of speech in Germany, an inquiry into some psychophysical sources of the “speech technology” and a survey of the contribution of German “new rhetoric” to this movement. The Russian counterparts of this trend include the Institute of the Living Word (Institut živogo slova, 1918–1923), some Russian formalists, the scenic speech specialists and the theatre pedagogues. This paper reconstructs the debate raised by the thesis on cinema proposed by Pier Paolo Pasolini. In particular, two basic notions are addressed: the idea of cinema as a 'written language of reality' and the role of free indirect discourse for the establishment of a 'poetry cinema'. Pasolini is put into dialogue with Gilles Deleuze, Paolo Fabbri and other semiologists.
Voices from the past: memory and desire in Marina Warner’s radio play Brigit’s Cell

This article examines Marina Warner’s radio play Birgitta’s Cell (BBC Radio 4), later published as Brigit’s Cell (2010) focusing on the themes of memory and desire. By drawing on Jan Assman’s theories on collective memory, the article shows how the two time levels Warner builds in the radio drama succeed in creating a fresh connection between women in the past and in the present as well as between individual and collective experience. The analysis of Warner’s work focuses on the dramatization of the story, taking into account the results offered by the use of the spoken word, fragments of dialogues, interior monologues, silences, enhanced, by its initial destination for the radio.

Gwałtowny rozwój nowych mediów, a zwłaszcza Internetu, który zainicjował poważne przemiany w kulturze, musiał objąć swym zasięgiem także folklor. Nowe elektroniczne środki przekazu, inspirujące aktywność odbiorców, doprowadziły nie tylko do gruntownego przemodelowania relacji międzyludzkich, ale przede wszystkim zmieniły jakościowy wymiar samego przedmiotu badań folklorystycznych.
